چکیده
To understand the responsive nature to excess water, a pot experiment was conducted at different growth stages of sesame (Sesamum indicum L. cv. BARI Til-4). The waterlogging stress each stage set three durations, viz. 2, 4, and 6 days. Twelve treatment combinations were replicated times arranged in completely randomized design. Different morpho-physiological yield parameters measured after completion longest duration (6 days). data revealed that is vulnerable water conditions, sensitivity positively correlated with duration. Plant biomass, leaf area, SPAD value, attributes recorded are observed be declined increment Another important finding among sesame, reproductive most sensitive stage, which hardly withstands waterlogging. vegetative affect minimally. Effect of Waterlogging Duration at Different Growth Stages on the Growth, Yield and Quality of Cotton
In this study, a soil culture experiment was set up in barrels to investigate the effect of waterlogging duration at different growth stages on the growth, yield, and quality of cotton in the Huang-Huai Region of China during summer. The experiment was conducted at four growth stages of cotton (seedling, squaring, flowering, and boll opening), and the waterlogging duration at each stage was set...
متن کاملphysiological and Biochemical responses of different sesame (sesamum indicum) genotypes under salinity stress
Sesame seeds are a good source for food and health due to their protein and unsaturated fatty acids and secondary metabolites such as lignans. Soil and water salinity is one of the most important factors limiting the growth of this crop. By examining the physiological reactions related to salinity tolerance among different landraces and cultivars, tolerant and sensitive cultivars can be selecte...
متن کاملChemical characterization and biological activity in young sesame leaves (Sesamum indicum L.) and changes in iridoid and polyphenol content at different growth stages
Three iridoids (lamalbid (I1), sesamoside (I2) and shanzhiside methyl ester (I3)) and seven polyphenols (cistanoside F (P1), chlorogenic acid (P2), pedalitin-6-O-laminaribioside (P3), pedaliin (P4), isoacteoside (P6), pedalitin (P7) and martynoside (P8)) were identified in young sesame leaves (Sesamum indicum L.) other than the acteoside (P5) reported previously. P3 was a new compound, and I1, ...
